Ever since the internet was invented in the 90s and made available for public use, the world hasn’t remained the same.

The Internet has become our heart and soul. Going a day without it seems like an eternity. I would not be wrong if I said that the happiness of the contemporary folks is dependent on the internet.

A smartphone is only smart because it can use the internet to provide its user with a world of features.

A school assignment or a work project is only successfully completed when there is access to surf the web for research.

Today, even a majority of the recreational activities can only be taken up and performed, if there is the internet.

So, the internet is everywhere we look, and everywhere we do not.

You must have judged from the title about the notions that I would be discussing today, being online TV. All of us are quite familiar with Netflix and Amazon Prime, as they are the major players in this domain.

Do you think that the world of Internet TV has more benefits than conventional cable?

I certainly do. When the two most prominent means of entertainment came together, magic was bound to happen, and it did. Even the television makers think that, otherwise, why would they have created the Smart TV. The purpose was to stream the online platforms and have the full HD experience on a 40, 50, or 60-inch screen. To get my hands on this streaming compatible TV, I had taken the profitable loans for bad credit from direct lenders, and profitable it was!

Now, let us understand why Internet TV is all the rage.

Convenience of Place

The foremost benefit of Internet TV is that it can be connected with any device with a screen and Wi-Fi accessibility. It could be a smartphone, a tablet, a computer, or the best one; a gigantic TV mounted on your wall.

A TV might not be compatible with traveling, but the others are. Smartphones, laptops, and tablets can be taken along anywhere a person wants. With these, you would be taking your TV along as well.

For me, the perfect time to watch internet TV was on the tube. The journey from my home to my office was about 45 minutes, so I used to pug in my earphones and watch an entire episode of Peaky Blinders after I was done with Vikings.

I am sure you must do something as productive on your Tube journey.

Convenience of Time

Moving from the place to the time, with the online counterpart of the conventional television, you do not need to bind yourself to the schedule of your favorite TV show. Your favourite TV show would revolve around your schedule.

You can watch it at 5 in the morning or 7 in the evening, it is up to you.

You can watch a complete series together or half an episode at a time, it is up to you.

You can watch the shows, the movies, the documentaries at your own pace, your own leisure and your own time.

Such luxury would never come with the cable networks, no matter how advanced they become. And this is one of the biggest reasons for the success of internet TV platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

I have watched an episode of This is Us, paused it to apply for a loan from Target Loans, played it back, paused it to check my notification of approval, and played it yet again to finish the entire episode this time.

Convenience of Likings

Let me ask you something, how many times have you scrolled through all the channels on your cable networks to not find anything that you could watch?

It has happened to me a bazillion times, and I did not like the disappointment I had to bear every time. So, my switch to Internet TV was a life savior.

I could watch just about anything I was in the mood for.

Looking for some laughs? What about Young Sheldon, Friends or The Big Bang Theory?

Want some drama? What about Grey’s Anatomy, The Affair, or Reign?

Searching to satiate the thrill in you? What about Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, or The Sherlock Holms?

Whatever you want, internet TV would provide. You need not settle on the boring reality TV every time you do not find something to watch.

Convenience of Bingeing

Internet TV is the synonym of Binge-Watching, no I think internet TV invented the concept of binge-watching. I never binged on a series before Netflix; now I do it almost every weekend.

Bingeing is what has kept of us in the quarantine we had to stay in because of the pandemic.

I have watched so many series that I cannot even count them on the fingers of both my hands; maybe if we included the toes, we might get an answer.

The point of bingeing on a series is to watch the entirety of it in one loop without a break and get the complete experience the creator wanted to give us.

Whenever a new series comes on the Internet, the entire season is provided for the audience to watch together. And because there are no commercials, the bingeing experience becomes even more appealing.

So, there you have it. Do you not find the merger between the internet and television to be out of this world good?

Description :
